Polar Bears are made for snow, ice and cold, but as a result of a warming climate they must now adapt to longer summer conditions. Their ability to adapt however is no sure thing. The story follows the Herculean journey of an adolescent bear during a long hot summer. His mission: to stay alive in the most uncomfortable and most challenging time of the year. His task will take five months. Food is not guaranteed; he may be forced to starve the entire time. His resourcefulness and courage will be tested in new ways.
